OUTRN

About OUTRN

We create small-group running trips for adventurous people who want more than a normal run.

The story

OUTRN started with the founder, Sam, running on his own during COVID. A 5k turned into a 10k, and by 2023, he had signed up for his first half marathon.

That April, he fell 30 metres off a cliff. Breaking his back, shoulder and hand. Somehow, after a rescue mission and a few days in hospital, he was able to hobble out. And after a long recovery he got back to running. More than anything, it cleared his head.

Soon after, he rocked up to his first run club, Bondi Beach Run Club, and found a crew of like-minded people there: the morning runs, the socials, the coffees, the whole community. It changed how he saw running.

In 2024, he helped organise a trip to Uluṟu for the community. Running around Uluṟu with the glow of the sun shining off the rock. The red dirt, and peacefulness of the outback. It was the best few days. That trip is the whole idea behind OUTRN. To bring together like-minded people to offer an incredible experience (whilst enjoying running!).

Now we want to bring it to more runners. Small groups, real adventures, and none of the logistics to sort out yourself. Welcome to your OUTRN community.
