View Upcoming Trips

A runcation is exactly what it sounds like, a trip built around running. Not a race. Not a training camp. A running holiday where the kms are the reason you're there, not something you squeeze in before breakfast.

You've done the city breaks. The beach holidays where you found a 5km loop and ran it three times. The trips where running felt like something you got away with rather than something you planned for.

A runcation flips that. You travel to run. The destination is chosen because it's worth running through; not just worth visiting.

OUTRN builds multi-day running adventures to Australia's most iconic landscapes. You show up. We handle the logistics. You run somewhere that actually matters.

Why Australia for Your Running Vacation?

Australia has some of the most runnable landscapes on earth, and almost no one is running them.

Uluru (Ayers Rock). 10.6km of red earth circling a 550-million-year-old monolith. Most visitors see it from a viewing platform. You'll run the base trail at sunrise, when the rock shifts from shadow to ochre to blazing orange.

Blue Mountains. Sandstone cliffs, eucalyptus valleys, trails that drop 300 metres before climbing back out. An hour from Sydney, but it feels like another continent.

Great Ocean Road. 100km of coastal trail threading between limestone stacks and Southern Ocean surf. Coming soon.

These aren't obscure trailhead secrets. They're world-famous destinations that happen to have world-class running, if you know where to look and how to get there. That's what we do.

Who We're For

You run three, maybe four times a week. You're not chasing PBs, you're chasing something else. A crew. A reason to explore. A trip that doesn't feel like a holiday you need to recover from.

Frequently Asked Questions

How fit do I need to be?

You should be comfortable running 10-15km on consecutive days. These aren't races, we don't track pace. If your regular week includes 3-4 runs and the occasional longer one, you're ready.

What distances will we run each day?

It varies by trip, but most days are 8-15km. We include the full breakdown on each trip page. You'll always know what's coming.

Is accommodation included?

Yes. All accommodation is included in the trip price, typically 3-4 star hotels or lodges close to the running locations. No hostels. No camping (unless the trip specifies).

Can I come solo?

Absolutely. Most of our runners travel solo. It's one of the best parts, you arrive alone, you leave with a crew.

What about the heat in the outback?

We schedule all desert trips for the cooler months (May-September) and time runs for early morning.

Can my run club book a private trip?

Yes. We run private trips for clubs and groups. Send us a message!
